Pizza: A Runners Fuel

Most runners eat about one medium pizza pie every month.  No wonder they call pizza a runners fuel often. However, pizzas are high-fat disasters with few nutritionally redeeming qualities.

My dog agrees - pizza is a runners fuelDon’t despair, there is solution for that? Make your own at home and load it with ingredients that are good for you.

An article from Runners World magazine says, “…Choose your crust, sauce, cheese, and toppings, then assemble the pizza on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake at 450° F for 10 to 15 minutes.” Read full article here.
